We were having work done on a pipe in our basement by Lesco Plumbing(Marco & Mike). I told them that we also had a clogged drain in our upstairs bathroom. They told us we should use Smiley as it would cost less to unclog the drain. The technician from Lesco called Smiley for us and had someone to our house in less than 30 minutes. Stan was excellent and worked quickly. He coordinated with the other guys and worked out the best way for us to pay. We would use them in the future, and like Lesco, we love how they give us a picture of who is coming to the house and some background on them. I called Smiley Drains to inspect my main sewer line based on the recommendation received from my neighbor and the positives reviews online. Stan was very informative and answered all of my questions while he was scoping the sewer line with the camera. Luckily he found no issues and said the line was in excellent condition. He replaced the old screw in plug with a lead plug that was just tapped in place. The plug doesn’t look very secure because it’s not screwed in like the old one, but what do I know, I’m not a plumber. He assured me that it will hold in place, I hope so. Absolutely fantastic service! Cannot rate this company highly enough. Juan came at 8 am (same day) and cleaned out the blockage super quickly. He also cleaned the sewage that had come up and was able to give me some helpful tips for caring for my plumbing.UPDATE: Unfortunately, our sewer drain problems came back a few days later. Luckily for us, Juan was able to come back out to save the day! Not only was he able to get here quick, just like the first time, but he also was able to clean up the blockage free due to their 30 day guarantee! While here, I mentioned I wanted to get a jet cleaning of the sewer lines at some point, and he let me know he had the equipment on hand and could do it at that moment and for a reasonable price! Do not hesitate to call Smiley Drain Cleaning for a drainage inspection & repairs, or any of your plumbing needs. I found his company after reading the great reviews and was in serious need for immediate help. Our home had been under extensive renovations for over a year, and with a couple of weeks left before we moved in, found out out sewer line was completely blocked. After going through a different plumber, who was unable to dislodge the blockage or provide accurate information on our line, we decide to hire Smiley Drain Cleaning.Michael came out the next day to with his team and video, he provided us with a reasonable quote to install a proper clean-out for the main line in our backyard (huge plus for future needs) and have a hydro jetting professional come with better equipment for the job. Michael warned us that this may uncover a serious and costly $$$$ problem if it was a broken connection to the main line, but best case would be he can clear it with the hydro jet machine.The following Monday he was onsite to do the work and within a couple of hours, had dug the hole, replaced the pipe and was successful in clearing the blockage of roots. My family and I are able to move on with our final inspections and move in to our new home without delays. Michael saved our project, and my relief and happiness was overwhelming. I can't thank Michael and his team of professionals at Smiley Drain enough for their great work! We will continue to use them for maintenance and any future drainage needs.

Mr.Juan J. J. was a absolute delight. Very professional. Prior to starting he went over the estimate and price. As he began the job he made sure that whatever I didn’t know to move out if his way earlier , that he cleared it out in a organized way. I didn’t expect him to move anything as that really is not his job but he moved small items with care. The job then needed to be viewed in a secondary location. We went there and he patiently helped me clear out a small space so he could work. Nothing that had to be moved was large but once again I strongly felt he was going beyond the duties of the job to move anything at all. I would of cleaned out prior if I knew he needed that space I was very grateful that instead of saying no he couldn’t get access and just leave, that he did everything he could to get access. He was very friendly and wore a mask the entire time. He was able to finish the job and made sure that I saw the work was done and the tub was now draining. He was also able to show me some things that were broken and need further repair. He did not push me to use Smiley Drain. He explained to me the other services Smiley Drain offers. As a female widow, it is rare to find a contractor that really breaks things down and explains things. that alone was amazing. It was wonderful to be talked to and not talked down. I cannot wait to hire Smiley Drain for the other items that need to be fixed. Though Mr. Juan said that is not his specialty I feel good to hire Smiley Drain again because Juan showed me such excellent customer service. I called this company to clean my drain. They did a wonderful job and solved the problem quickly. My drain lines were clogging up badly during some rainstorms. I called Smiley Drain Cleaning, and Michael quoted me a good price, then came out the same day to fix the lines. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He actually found out that I needed the full clean out but it was done quickly, and he was honest. The hydro jetting service worked very well clearing our the main line to almost "like new" condition. I will definitely call Smiley Drain for any future plumbing or sewer cleaning needs.

Our kitchen sink drain was badly clogged so we called Smiley Drain Cleaning and they were able to send someone out within a couple hours. Mike was an excellent plumber, very professional, and didn't give up on the tough clog until he had fixed it, even though it meant taking apart the pipes a few times. Mike was extremely responsive and managed to get a van out despite the short notice. Stan managed to diagnose the issue with a root in the sewer line and remediated using a jetter within an hour. He showed us the issue and the healthy sewer line post remediation using a camera. While others pitched for an expensive sewer line replacement, Stan took the initiative to resolve an otherwise healthy sewer line with minimal intrusion, overhead, and cost. Would definitely have them in my contacts for any future plumbing needs!

Cleared a sewer line blockage in order to run a camera into the line to determine the location of the actual cause of the blockage and what would be required to correct the problem.Excellent Service. Mike and his helper were true professionals. They called in advance as the said they would. They arrived within in the time frame that was quoted. (I live in Clifton) I was able to ask questions about the work before they started work and they explained what they were doing and more importantly why they were doing it. This made me feel very comfortable with the work they were doing, which help me understand the situation better. Once the blockage had been removed, they showed us the camera images so we could actually see what the problem they were referring to and better understand what was needed to correct the problem. Michael provided a detailed invoice of the problem and what would be required to fix the problem. The office is forwarding a pdf of the images from the camera for our files, which will be needed for the repairs. If you have plumbing issues, I highly recommend Smiley Drain Cleaning! Great company!

Within one hour of a frantic phone call, two friendly Smiley Drain Cleaning techs were at my door. I live in West Orange and needed a good drain cleaning company to unclog my main sewer drain. We have been noticing that are drains weren't flowing as they should. But sadly this morning we woke up to none of our dreams working. The toilets would not flush, the kitchen sinks would not drain, the shower and bathtub did not work. Michael was great today. Our sewer line was clogged and backing up through our basement sink and washing machine drains. I called at 8am and he was here within a couple of hours, in between previously-scheduled jobs as it was an emergency drainage issue. Very quick, courteous and accommodating. Right from the start, the phone call was informative and to the point. Was able to send someone same day for service. Alex came out and explained what might be the problem. I had to take apart some of my retaining wall to access the leader drain and he helped me do that even though that wasn’t part of the scope. He helped with dismantling the leader, and we found the clog was actually right there and not the drain. So he said because he didn’t have to get the big hydro jet and inspection camera out, it would be a regular simple drain clog price. Happy to work with Alex and this company. Price would have been on the high side if my drain would have been clogged but they have the knowledge, experience and tools to get it done and their digital system made things much easier and more efficient too. I would use them in the future.

I had a kitchen drain that was clogged. Tried snaking for 50 feet and did not help. Reached out to Smiley and they recommended Hydro jetting. They sent an estimate which was the market price. The front desk was responsive and easy to set up an appointment. The technician Darren came on time and reacted quickly . As the charge increases every 15 min after the 1st hour, the technician was quick enough to fix the issue within the first hour. He took necessary precaution to ensure the place is left clean inspite if so much grease that came out. He sprayed extra cleaning solution and cleaned the cabinets. The clog was removed. If you have any type of clog or blockage in your sewer line call Smiley drain!I live in West Orange, NJ and I was worried I couldn't get a drainage company out here the same day. I had no idea what was going on other then every drain was completely clogged with something. After doing some research on Google I found Smiley drain cleaning! The reviews were great and when I called the woman I spoke to was kind, friendly and most importantly worked with me to get a plumber out to assess this emergency!Michael came out to our home and first did a sewer line inspection to see what exactly was the problem. He even showed me video he was able to record, and there were tree roots growing inside of the main line.After discussing several options available I chose to go with the Rooter Service along with hydro jetting anything that might have been left behind. He had this giant drain snake with a bit that would chop up the roots. After he completed the rooter job he used a hydro jetting machine that pump high pressurized water and completely cleared anything that was in my drains.I did not realize how slow my drains were until now! (Before) I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to not have water fill up in the shower or your toilet flushing flawlessly! These guys are the best in the business and if you want high quality drain services call this company you won't be sorry you did. Highly recommend!

I called Smiley to snake out a clogged leader drain in the front of my house. They sent Darren who was very professional and discussed the job with me. Darren suggested using a power jet instead of a metal snake. What he said to me made total sense. While jetting the line, Darren noticed that an adjoining leader drain was backing up. Smiley drain is a great company to deal with. They are responsive, professional and on time! The two technicians dispatched, explained everything they were doing as they went and did it with a pleasant and friendly demeanor ( not always the case in the service industry) They worked tirelessly and it was a huge job as the underground wastelines were not only clogged but broken and sunken into the ground 😩I highly recommend this company with absolutely no reservations and if you’re lucky enough to get Darren as your tech , that’s an added bonus!

We had our main sewer line clogged and backing up badly. I called Smiley and they came out the same day within 2 hours! Darren came and explained everything thoroughly. Been having an issue with Main Drain backup for 2 years now since moving into home. Had it unclogged 4-5 times. After getting what seemed to be the run around with other companies, tried Smiley Drain. Mike came by to hear me out and recommended the Jet so two engineers came by to clear the drain problem. Issue was cleared within the hour, however they required more time and would come back to do a thorough clean of the drain and inspection with camera. Darren came back and finished the process of jetting the remainder of the grime out of the line into the sewer. During the course of the inspection, he re-examined a dip in the pipe that was found and suggested two solutions to correct this type of problem. He will follow-up with Mike who will reach out. Overall I feel that everyone including Darren was honest, professional and feel that I was well taken care of. Response time was very good and wish I did not waist my time looking elsewhere first. Prices are very reasonable and Guarantee is a plus.Highly recommended. Thanks Smiley Drain

My basement bathroom was completely backed up so I got on line and started to research plumbers and Smiley Drain was highly recommended. I figured I’d give them a shot. I filled out the online form and sure enough they contacted me and set up my appointment between 2-4PM. Sure enough their technician Darren Olech came at 3 and was very friendly and explained to me everything that was going on. He was very professional used all the protective equipment needed and explained step by step what the issue was and MOST IMPORTANTLY FIXES THE PROBLEM! Smiley Drain was a good bet. I had a backed up sewer line and was in a complete panic. They quickly diagnosed the issue (roots in line) and went right to work. I was sure this was going to break the bank but I was wrong. They Hydro Jetted the line and sent down a camera to be sure the issue was resolved. My line line cleared and I was back in business. Best of all, I didn't flush my savings down the drain. I totally recommend these guys.
